FEARS AND SCARS:that's none of my business!
FEARS AND
SCARS: that’s none of my business!
8TH March 2015, Saturday!
Free-spirited, convivial, neat, pro-active, ambitious, life n soul of
someone’s, gregarious, upbeat and with a never-ending list, we can surely catch
many glimpses of a woman every day. But sometimes, few things make me to wonder
what sort of world do we live in? As a 24-year-old, I sometimes realize that
few men only feel an actual entitlement towards women’s bodies. This is
perfectly experienced when you are up in a shopping market and ‘those men’
whistle and comment on you looking at our body parts impulsive of the fact what
we have worn. This problem has never died, rather it is still alive, living the
‘done to me’ reality every day. Looking and responding back at them with ‘HOW
DARE YOU SAY THAT look? lives no sense on their actions. It is like someone is
speaking to them in a foreign language. But this foreign language has become
fluent, fluent in the sense that someone is speaking a language of not their
origin; someone who can understand it audibly, but won’t be able to mind it.
It’s India rather and exclusions do apply as long as we think that separate
class of women do exist for sexual exploitation, prostitution and for self-satisfaction.
But don’t you worry ‘Coz exclusions do apply’!
What can one think
of a banned #Nirbhaya’s documentary? Is she blameless or blameworthy? Those
fucking rascals had that complete right to own her body. Facial-expressions, weary sighs, aggressive
stances and protracted silences covered her up with those damaged body parts. Being
a woman, these things bother me, these stupid irrelevant lines are drawn to
divide the lived reality of sexual harassment experienced based on whether a
female is 14s, 20s, 40s, 60s or even 70s. Well today, the condition in India is
like people need to start querying what is the criterion for fuckability
according to sex-buying men? But don’t you worry ‘Coz exclusions do apply’!
Added to
this is the reality that a woman who is independent, who is work-deprived, who
is modernized, who is liberalized, or even the one who is happy in her life is
open to the flesh and form societal
invitation and is surely halfway between being prostituted and being trafficked.
What can one think of seeking revenge from a college girl? The best way to
place a cello tape on her lips is to morph her images on social networkings and
post it to her friends. Are these things soooooo small? The small things; they
are often the things that set us survivors apart from the rest of society. The things we think of, the things we
remember, the things we struggle to forget; the things we can’t get through a
single day without being assaulted by. This ‘done to me’ aspect, taught me to
live with something very wrong in the world. But don’t you worry ‘Coz exclusions
do apply’!
A
prostitute: Well she has made it her own choice! These stories are no different
today. Streets, massage parlors, brothels, escort agencies and many such
countless places, have their own worlds to deal with. This world is like living
every moment of it as sexually abusive right, as it is happening. This would obviously have made the experience
of it even more painful, but I strongly suspect it makes the memory of it even
strong, even when you decide to stand out of those myriad circumstances. But
don’t you worry ‘Coz exclusions do
apply’!
Decade stories, decade books or even decade blogs they don’t
lay down any woman’s story nor do they detract, but still they affirm writings.
Men won’t understand what women have been through. At any time, at any age, for
many reasons, or any state of art, different stories assert the truth that
‘exclusions do apply’. These are truths, may be few different truths, but they
all end up in the same place-that-mind shattering reality of having been broken
and your legs all open on any bed. Every woman is living the survival of the
same pain and those of us who choose to speak out live all the same fears, are
subject to all the same threats, suffer all the same traumas and are targeted
at all the same points of our obvious vulnerabilities.
My sincere wishes
to every woman reading this post is that we are a healing balm that should be
poured happily and liberally; with only love and no restraint. And getting back
to those two words, ‘EXCLUSIONS APPLY’, I say that stupid jealousies and
resentments should never get a look-in here, because, besides anything else,
you can’t be in competition when you are a part of the same team. And to those
semi-literate, literate, educated, partially-educated or even undereducated,
honestly, you don’t deserve even a bit of our love because you don’t need to
discredit us or even that everything which we have experienced or still
experiencing throughout this social spectrum. Because we are intended to stand
over our experiences, and we won’t be silenced by anyone. This is just a simple
and inhuman truth that there are men on this earth who do not give a damn about
anything or anyone if recognising its value means getting in the way of their
God-almighty orgasms. And women, this is why we need legislation to impose upon
them the equal worth of female humanity that they will never come to on their
own.
It’s very
upsetting that posting pictures on fbs can give you likes, but posting the
posts or blogs leaves you dissatisfied. So, next post will be posted the day
when we get to know of the responses.
