DONATION ‘FASHION’ BHAGWAN KE GHAR!

Allah, Ram, Lord, Waheguru and what not. It does not matter what we call him, or how do we address him, but we all have that same purpose, to recite him and remember him who created us. One god, and names many!

Temples, masjids, churches and Gurudwaras, they are all same. You will find half of our population friendshiping  god on Thursdays. Appointments are already reserved well in advanced. And donations, well what can I say? It puts a big question mark on my face looking at the fact that each and every temple in this world is the richest one. In India, the top affluent temples like: Tirupati temple,  , Shirdi temple, Shrinathji Temple in Rajasthan's Nathdwara , Kashi vishwanathan temple and many others have already been in limelight for their royal treasures and donations. Their religious bodies have opened demat accounts and the reason behind this is that these religious trusts find it tedious to get physical shares dropped in donation boxes transferred to their names.

DONATION ‘FASHION’ trending the world:

The donations given in these temples per day counts to 10 Crore rupees. This amount is so huge that even god finds it difficult to use it in endless ways. In what ways can he be spending such a huge amount? Will he invest in shopping? Will he invest in gaining properties? Will he give loans to his other collages? Or will he preserve this for his future generations?  When I see those heavy donation boxes, I really keep wondering what he must be doing with those hefty sums. Ok, let’s consider that even if 2/3rd of its amount is spent in the temple’s makeover, 2/3rd of its remaining amount is used for the trust’s welfare, again 2/3rd of the remaining amount is used for providing salaries to the pujaris and the working staff, but still a huge amount of money is still counted in the leftover donations. If we compare all the annual incomes of the richest Honchos in the world and collectively add them, we still cannot make out the richest sharings as ‘GOD’ alone has it on his own terms.

What ‘Awareness aromas’ wants to convey?

Donation or offerings to ‘God’ has always been considered as a part of our believes and spiritual connections. But, god never said this that please keep my pockets well reserved in advance because I want to shop or because I want to invest in shares or because I want to purchase a newly furnished bungalow. God never says this.

Infact, he only says that ‘Offer help to the needies, fed the empty stomachs, try to literate the uneducated, provide shed to the homeless and pray for the orphans’…Well, we as a common individual are always interested in providing offerings to the god when our wishes come true. So, instead of donations why don’t we pray god that ‘Yes, if my wishes come true, I’ll surely feed 10 people from the orphange’. Make such things as your habit. I really don’t want to question your beliefs but still would say that ‘Instead of spending your donations in religious trusts and organisations, you should think that a small part your donation to the needy ones can create a big difference to their lives.’
